Sangke Prairie is located in Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, which lies about 10 kilometers southwest of Labrang, Xiahe County, and there is highway through. Belonging to the meadow steppe, Sangke Prairie is a part of Dajiu Grassland (or Running Horse Grassland) Prairie. It is an alpine steppe with flat and open land in the middle and is surrounded by hills.
